ProAct® Improves Calcium Utilisation
Rapidly growing berries have high calcium demand, but supply is limited because calcium is not phloem mobile and relies on xylem flow, which is often reduced during fruit development. ProAct triggers calcium signalling, increasing uptake, mobility, and transport into the fruit. It also promotes calcium binding into cell walls, strengthening skin and cell structure. This helps improve firmness, reduce splitting and softening, and enhances shelf life, making applied calcium more effective in soft fruit.
